Abstract

A boldogság keresése a kultúra egyik örökzöld témája az ókortól napjainkig. A görög bölcselők közül főleg Epikurosz foglalkozott érdemben a boldogság kérdésével. Az általa megállapított boldogság-kritériumokat ma is sokan érvényesnek tekintik. E tanulmány ennek a bonyolult témának két tényezőjére tér ki: 1) Az életkor és a boldogság összefüggése (irodalmi példák és egy hallgatók körében végzett felmérés alapján), 2) A jövedelem (a pénz) és a boldogság összefüggése (Epikurosz és egy 21. századi nemzetközi felmérés alapján). | The pursuit of happiness has been one of the perennial themes of culture from antiquity to the present day. Among the Greek philosophers, it was especially Epicurus who dealt with the question of happiness in a substantial way. The criteria for happiness he defined are still regarded by many as valid today. This study focuses on two aspects of this complex topic: 1) The relationship between age and happiness (based on literary examples and a survey conducted among students), and 2) The relationship between income (money) and happiness (based on the ideas of Epicurus and a 21st-century international survey).
