Abstract

A publikáció a Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár Országos Levéltárában található statisztikai adatok alapján mutatja be a határőrség akkori vezetői állománya helyzetét, szolgálati idejét, beosztásait, iskolai végzettségét. A szerző nyomon követi 1950-től 1965-ig a vezetés összetételében bekövetkezett változásokat, képet ad a tiszti állomány helyzetéről, és bemutatja az országos parancsnokok váltását és a parancsnoki színvonal lassú stabilizálását. | Based on statistical data from the Hungarian National Archives, this paper presentsthe situation, length of service, ranks, and educational qualifications of the senior staffof the border guard at the time. The author discusses the changes in the composition of theleadership between 1950 and 1965, presents data on the situation of the commissionedofficers, the succession of national commanders and the slow stabilisation of the commandlevel.
