Abstract

A mesterséges intelligencia korunk egyik legtöbb lehetőséggel kecsegtető, ugyanakkor számos kockázattal fenyegető technológiája. Az utóbbi években életünk irányításának, szervezésének mind nagyobb részét engedtük át ezen technológiának. Egyre több mester­séges intelligencia által generált tartalommal, szöveggel és képpel találkozunk az interne­ten, egyúttal pedig mind gyakrabban használjuk ezt az eszközt tanulmányaink, munkánk vagy kikapcsolódásunk során. Jelen tanulmány bemutatja a mesterséges intelligencia egyik legelterjedtebb felhasználási módjának, a nagy nyelvi modelleknek a történetét, működését és piaci jelentőségét, valamint ismerteti a technológia geopolitikai kockáza­tait, különösképpen a nyelv szempontjából. Ilyen kockázatok között említendő többek között a mesterséges intelligencia tanítására használt szövegek ellenőrizetlensége, nyelvi szempontú homogenitása, bizonyos kultúrkörök előnyben részesítése, valamint az így tanított és ennek nyomán bizonyos nyelveket és világnézeteket előnyben részesítő mester­séges intelligencia hatása a felhasználók gondolkodására, viselkedésére. | Artificial intelligence is one of the most promising technologies of our time, but also one that poses many risks. In recent years, we have ceded more and more of the control and organisation of our lives to this technology. There is an increasing number of AI-generated content, text and images on the Internet, and we are using it more and more often for study, work and leisure. This paper presents the history, functioning and market relevance of one of the most common types of AI, the large language models, and describes the geopolitical risks of the technology, with a particular focus on language preservation and maintenance. Such risks include the uncontrolled nature of the texts used to train AI, their linguistic homogeneity, the preference for certain cultures, and the impact on the thinking and behaviour of users of AIs taught in this way, which favour certain languages and worldviews.
