Abstract

Vizsgálatunkban az autósportban innovatívan, a trendeket követve megjelenő elektromos meghajtású autóbajnokságokat elemeztük. Arra kerestük a választ, hogy milyen szerepet tölthet be egy elektromos bajnokság a versenyzők pályafutásában. Kutatásunk során megvizsgáltuk, hogy a 2022-es évben a három legnagyobb jelentőségű elektromos sorozatban induló versenyzők hol tartanak pályafutásukban, és karrierjükben milyen szerepet kap az elektromos járművel versenyzett szezon vagy szezonok. Saját tapasztalataikról és a sorozatokban való versenyzéshez kapcsolódó céljaikról, félig strukturált interjú keretében kérdeztünk öt versenyzőt, és egy elektromos világkupagyőztes csapatfőnököt, valamint megkérdeztük a HUMDA Academy mentorait arról, hogy ők hogyan látják, egy versenyző esetében milyen szerepet tölthet be egy ilyen bajnokság. A kutatás szekunder adatokkal vizsgálta a versenyzők karrierjét és benne az adott sorozat helyét. A kapott válaszok alapján megállapítottuk, hogy a versenysorozatok, a sorozat presztízsétől függően különböző szerepet tölthetnek be egy sportoló pályafutásában, a nagyobb népszerűségű sorozatok jelenthetnek csúcspontot, vagy lokális csúcspontot, de magasabb rangú, benzines sorozatokhoz való továbblépésre is használhatják, míg az alacsonyabb népszerűségű, de ugyanúgy komoly technikai innovációkat tartalmazók leginkább az amúgy sikeres benzines pályafutással rendelkező versenyzőket vonzzák, akik a hagyományos pályafutásukkal párhuzamosan, kiegészítésként indulnak ezekben a sorozatokban, azok mellett a pályájuk elején tartó versenyzők mellett, akik nagyobb nyilvánosság elérésére és tapasztalatszerzésre használják ezeket a sorozatokat. | Our work focused on electric engine championships that are innovative and are following the trends in motorsport. We sought to investigate what role an championship based on electric vechicles can play in the careers of racers. In our research, we examined where the drivers participating in the three most significant electric series of 2022 stood in their careers and what role the season or seasons spent racing electric vehicles played. We interviewed five drivers, an electric World Cup-winning team director, and also asked the mentors of HUMDA Academy about their perspectives on the role such championships can play in a driver’s career. Additionally, we explored the drivers’ own experiences, and their goals related to competing in these series. We analyzed the drivers’ careers and the position of the given series within them using secondary data. The findings revealed that the racing series can play different roles in an athlete’s career depending on the prestige of the series. Higher-profile series can serve as a pinnacle or a local peak in a driver’s career, or as a stepping stone to higher-ranked, petrol-based series. Meanwhile, lower-profile series, which still feature significant technical innovations, tend to attract drivers with already successful careers in series using combustion engines, who participate in these series as a complement to their original career. These series also appeal to emerging drivers at the start of their careers, who use them to gain greater public visibility and valuable experience.
