Abstract

Az 1989-90-es politikai és gazdasági rendszerváltás óta hazánkban is megszaporodtak azok a kutatások, amelyek a nemek helyzetét elemzik a társadalmi élet különböző területein, így például a sportban és a médiában. Ilyen, ún. gender jellegű vizsgálatok magára a sportmédiára is irányultak már, de a női sportújságírók, a televíziós csatornáknál dolgozó szerkesztők-műsorvezetők és sportriporterek mindezidáig nem kerültek a sportszociológiai kutatások fókuszába. Jelen munka ebből a szempontból hiánypótló, mivel arra vállalkozik, hogy empirikus adatgyűjtés eredményein keresztül bemutassa a tematikus sportcsatornáknál dolgozó, a sportszerető tévénézők által is jól ismert sportriporterek véleményét a szakmán belül uralkodó nemi viszonyokról és a nők helyzetéről. A szerzők részbeni érintettsége és így az objektivitás biztosítása érdekében a félig strukturált interjúk alanyai közé férfi szerkesztők és riporterek is bekerültek, akik a saját szemszögükből véleményezték ugyanezeket a kérdéseket. A kvalitatív adatok emellett kvantitatív adalékokkal egészültek ki, úgymint a Magyarországon működő három tematikus sportcsatornánál dolgozók nemi és életkori összetétele, valamint jövedelmi viszonyai. Az eredmények szerint a sportmédia területén a nők erősen alulreprezentáltak a férfiakhoz képest, jövedelmük alacsonyabb, mint férfitársaiké, de a nemek viszonyának kérdésében számos területen eltérők, bizonyos esetekben egymásnak ellentmondók a vélemények. A kutatás fontos megállapítása ugyanakkor, hogy a nemi hovatartozással szemben a szakmai felkészültség, és ezáltal a hitelesség jelentősége egyre inkább mani fesztálódik. | Since the political and economic regime change of 1989-90, there has been an increasing number of studies in Hungary analyzing the situation of genders in various areas of social life, such as sport and the media. Such gender studies have already concentrated on sports media itself, but female sports journalists, TV-channel editors or presenters and reporters have not yet been in the focus of sociological research in sports. This study is a niche in this respect, as it attempts to present, through the results of empirical data collection, the views of sports reporters working for thematic sports channels – wellknown by sports-loving television viewers – on gender relations and the position of women in the profession. On account of the authors’ partial involvement and thus as a means to ensure objectivity, the participants of the semi-structured interviews included male editors and reporters who comment on the same issues from their own perspective. In addition, qualitative data were supplemented by quantitative additions, such as the gender and age composition and income characteristics of the employees of the three thematic sports channels operating in Hungary. According to the results, women are strongly under-represented in sports media compared to men, with lower incomes than their male counterparts, but on the question of gender relations, views are different and sometimes conflicting in some areas. At the same time, it is an important observation of this research that the importance of professional competence and thus credibility, in contrast with the significance of gender, is increasingly manifesting.
