Abstract

A gyümölcslé maradványokat tartalmazó aktív szén és bentonit keverékét tartalmazó derítőszerrel történt talajkezelés már 1 kg/m2 dózisban jelentős hozamnövekedést eredményezett: növelte a virágos tövek arányát 10%-kal, a növényi biomassza mennyiségét 53%-kal, a termésmennyiséget átlagosan 35%-kal az Amy fajtájú étkezési paprika esetén. A derítőszer talajra kifejtett hatása további vizsgálatot igényel. | According to the purpose of circular management, especially in the agricultural and food industry, it is essential to recover the nutrients from the by-products or wastes e.g., for soil improvement. Researchers examine the incorporation of a mixture of activated carbon and bentonite into soil, focusing on its capacity to enhance soil properties and its associated environmental impacts. Meanwhile there is little research on the effect of so-called saturated clarifying agent from fruit juice production. Although these materials classified and managed as waste, they can be suitable alternative in agriculture from more points of view. This study extends our previous small-plot sweet pepper cultivation experiment (initiated in 2023) to a larger sample size. In this phase, a reduced amount of clarifying agents was applied to assess their effects on plant development, biomass accumulation, and yield-related indicators. This experiment conducted from May to October 2024 using the Amy variety of white bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The clarifying agent was the mixture of bentonite and activated carbon saturated with raw fruit juice organic materials from juice processing. Soil treatment with this clarifying agent already resulted in a significant yield with a dose of 1 kg/m2 : it increased the proportion of flowering plant units by 10%, the plant biomass’ weight by 53%, and the yield of sweet pepper berry by an average of 35%. The clarifying agent reduced the number of aerobic, cultivable microorganisms (total plate count) in the soil depending on the dose.
