Abstract

A COVID-19 és az orosz-ukrán konfliktus 2020 és 2023 között jelentős gazdasági zavarokat okozott a hazai gabonatermesztők számára. A hullámzó termény árak és inputanyag költségek nehezen, vagy egyáltalán nem lekövethetőek a mezőgazdasági szektor sajátosságainak köszönhetően. Munkánk során arra az eredményre jutottunk, hogy az inputanyag árak megnyugodni látszanak, ami pozitív jövedelmezőségi kilátásokat jelez előre. 2022-ben a rendkívüli aszályhelyzet okozott veszteséget és sodort a csőd szélére agrár vállalkozásokat 2023- ban pedig az extrém alacsony felvásárlási árak tehették veszteségessé a termelést. A 2024-es kiegyenlítődési időszak pozitívan hatott majd az ágazatra és hosszú távon fenntartható kiegyenlített jövedelmező termelést jelent majd a szektor számára. | The 2020 COVID pandemic and the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began in 2022, has had a significant impact on almost all economic sectors, and agriculture is no exception. Between February 2022 and December 2024, the prices of inputs, fuel, and crops underwent considerable fluctuations, posing economic challenges for producers in both livestock farming and crop production. Although domestic market prices now appear to be stabilizing, field crop production, particularly winter wheat cultivation, still cannot be considered unequivocally profitable. The increasingly extreme climate poses an escalating problem, as reflected in the droughts of 2022 and 2024, as well as the widespread national yellow rust epidemic in 2023. In our research, we aim to highlight the uncertainty surrounding the profitability outlook for winter wheat production in 2024 and explore ways to mitigate potential losses during such a challenging and uncertain period. To this end, we conducted a cost-benefit analysis as a continuation of a 2023 study, focusing on winter wheat harvested in 2024. We determined its production cost, break-even indicators, and profitability conditions.
