Abstract

The area of the Chalcolithic tumulus Bucova Pusta IV, which was laid out in the northeastern area of the Early Neolithic settlement, once again served as a burial ground during the Middle Ages. Some of the burials were already uncovered by the excavations of Gyula Kisléghi Nagy (Fig. 1). Further Medieval burials were discovered and documented by the more recent excavations of the University of Tübingen in cooperation with the National Museum of the Banat (Fig. 2). The following is a description of the graves in the order in which they were uncovered. e final evaluation partially includes the burials uncovered by the old excavation.
