Abstract
The social, technological, environmental, political, and economic challenges of the past decade have substantially affected the functioning of the global economy, fundamentally reshaping international power dynamics. These transformations have also visibly influenced corporate performance. The revenue- and profit-based analysis in this study aims to determine whether regional affiliation plays a decisive role in shaping corporate performance. The analysis is based on data from 315 companies that have appeared in every edition of the Fortune Global 500 ranking over the past 10 years. The findings help illuminate which countries' firms have successfully adapted to the complex challenges of the 21st century. The results clearly indicate the dominance of U.S.-based companies, alongside the strengthening position of firms from emerging economies.
