Abstract
JEDIK ÁNYOS SECONDARY SCHOOL AGORA, CSEPEL, HUNGARY; ARCHITECTS: Ádám Szabó and Zoltán Porcsalmy The reconstruction and expansion of the Jedlik Ányos Secondary School in Budapest involved creating a central 84-meter-long aula designed as a modern "agora" or indoor grove for community events. This space features a complex, double-curved roof rationalized using parametric design and algorithmic optimization, resulting in a triangulated steel grid visible both internally and externally. The design integrates structural efficiency with aesthetic and functional requirements, including a glass skylight and natural ventilation.
