Abstract
SIYADI PEARL MUSEUM, MUHARRAQ, BAHRAIN; ARCHITECT: Anne Holtrop For centuries, Bahrain's pearling industry shaped its economy and culture, leaving a distinctive architectural heritage in Muharraq, now preserved along the Pearling Path. Key sites include the Siyadi and Murad family clusters, especially the historic Siyadi Majlis, once central to international pearl trading. Current renovations aim to restore the coral stone structures, add exhibition spaces for rare pearl jewellery, and blending traditional with modern techniques, including lime-based plaster and silver foil finishes that highlight the region’s decorative legacy.
