Abstract
MUBARAKIYA MARKET, KUWAIT CITY, KUWAIT; ARCHITECT: Atelier Aziz Alqatami Commissioned by the National Council of Culture, Art and Letters, the Hamed and Najaf project rehabilitates a fire-damaged building complex in Kuwait City’s historic Mubarakiya market through a multi-disciplinary effort. The design balances the preservation of historic ruins with a modern archive and coffee shop, creating a public space that integrates native landscaping and honors the site’s architectural history.
