Abstract

This study investigates the effect of different welding electrodes on ferrous metal under constant current and voltage. Three electrode types - T, S, and C - were tested using tensile strength, hardness, and microstructure analysis. The S-type electrode showed the highest tensile strength and lowest hardness, while the C-type had the lowest tensile strength and highest hardness. The T-type displayed intermediate properties. Microscopic analysis confirmed that fractal dimension can predict mechanical properties, saving time and cost. The results indicated that fractal dimension increased with tensile strength and decreased with hardness, while hardness and tensile strength are inversely related.
