Abstract

A tanulmány eddig ismeretlen forrás alapján tárgyalja az 1501. évi oszmánellenes magyar–velencei–pápai szövetséghez vezető diplomáciai tárgyalásokat. A fellelt regisztrum két velencei követ Budáról 1500–1502 között írott jelentéseit tartalmazza, amelyeket heti, de néha sűrűbb időközökkel küldtek Velencébe. A követjelentések nemcsak a kemény diplomáciai alkudozásokat örökítették meg, hanem rajtuk keresztül betekintést nyerünk Velence információs hálózatának működésébe, valamint a budai udvar életébe, amely ebben az időszakban a nemzetközi diplomácia egyik központjává vált. A tanulmány legnagyobb eredménye, hogy az eddigi kivonatos változat mellett az 1501. évi oszmánellenes szövetség szerződésének hiteles szövege is a rendelkezésünkre áll. | The study describes the diplomatic negotiations leading to the anti-Ottoman Hungarian-Venetian-Papal alliance of 1501, based on until now unknown sources. The registry contains relations written by two Venetian ambassadors from Buda between 1500 and 1502, which were sent to Venice weekly, but sometimes more frequently. The ambassadors’ reports not only recorded the tough diplomatic negotiations, but also give us an insight into the workings of Venice’s information network and the life of the court in Buda, which became a centre of international diplomacy during this period. The greatest achievement of the study is that, in addition to the excerpted version so far available, we have the authentic text of the treaty of the anti-Ottoman alliance of 1501.
