Abstract

A tanulmány a Központi Statisztikai Hivatal (KSH) működésének legfontosabb jellemzőit mutatjabe a szocialista korszakban, felhasználva a KSH Könyvtárban meglévő eredeti forrásokat, dokumentumokat és az e tárgyhoz tartozó szakirodalmi cikkeket, ismertetéseket. A cikk a témát főleg az összhivatali működésre vonatkozóan, a szakstatisztikák történetét csak érintőlegesen megemlítve, főbbjellemzők köré csoportosítva tárgyalja, kitekintve a Központi Statisztikai Hivatalt körülvevő politikai, társadalmi és gazdasági környezetre. | The paper presents the most important characteristics of the operation of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office during the socialist era, using original sources, documents, and related articles and reviews from the HCSO Library. The article discusses the topic mainly in relation to the overall functioning of the office, touching only briefly on the history of specialized statistics, and grouping the main features around key characteristics, with an overview of the political, social, and economic environment surrounding the Hungarian Central Statistical Office.
