Abstract

The study first attempts to define the concept of artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as: AI), which can be explained as the fact that AI was created and developed in order to copy, replace, or surpass the human mind. Subsequently, we will conduct an analysis of the grouping possibilities of AI. In this regard, it should be emphasized that most of the current literature deals with the application of weak (narrow) AI (development of chatbots, machine learning, robotics). The second part of our work focuses on the current regulation of AI: it examines the legal sources of the European Union with particular regard to the fact that on March 13, 2024, the European Parliament – the first in the world – adopted a comprehensive artificial intelligence regulation. Finally, the Hungarian provisions concerning AI are examined in light of the provisions of the Fundamental Law of Hungary and in relation to administrative procedural law.
