Abstract

A cikk a szerző 2026 februárjában megjelent tanulmánya körül kibontakozott vitára reagál. A viszonválasz tisztázza, hogy a szerzőnek nincs kifogása a GDP vagy a hozzáadott érték számviteli fogalmával szemben; kritikája kizárólag ezek fejlesztéspolitikai iránytűként való használatára vonatkozik. A szerző megnyugvással konstatálja, hogy mind az öt vitapartnere elfogadja, hogy sem a vállalati hozzáadott érték nagysága, sem pedig a bruttó termelési értékhez viszonyított aránya önmagában nem alkalmas a versenyképesség, a tudásintenzitás vagy az állami támogatási prioritások megítélésére. A hozzáadottérték-alapú rangsorok csak kiegészítő elemzésekkel együtt értelmezhetők, önmagukban félrevezetők. A szerző éppen ezt írta vitaindító cikkében. | The article responds to the debate surrounding the author’s study published in February 2026. The rejoinder clarifies that the author has no objection to the accounting concepts of GDP or value added; his criticism pertains solely to their use as a compass for development policy. The author notes with satisfaction that all five of his interlocutors accept that neither the amount of corporate value added nor its ratio to gross output is sufficient on its own to judge competitiveness, knowledge intensity, or state subsidy priorities. Value-added-based rankings can only be interpreted alongside complementary analyses; in themselves, they are misleading. This is precisely what the author stated in his opening piece.
