Abstract

A digitalizáció és a mesterséges intelligencia térnyerése a mezőgazdaságban is jelentős innovációkat eredményezett, melyek elsősorban startup vállalkozásokhoz köthetők. A tanulmány az agrotechnológiai (AgTech) vállalkozásokat vizsgálja szekunder adatbázisok alapján, mint a Crunchbase, Dealroom és European Startups. A kutatás eredményeképpen megállapítást nyert, hogy a legsikeresebb, egy millió dollár értékű startup vállalkozások, az úgy nevezett unikornisok jellemzően Észak-Amerikában találhatóak. Európai társaik ezen a téren lemaradtak. Ugyanakkor számos innovatív kezdeményezés reagál a régió agrárkihívásaira. A tanulmány áttekintést nyújt a magyar agrártechnológiai startupokról, valamint a területen aktív vállalkozásösztönző programokról, végül a NAK Techlab (2019) program esettanulmánnyal zárul. | The rise of digitalization and artificial intelligence has also led to significant innovations in agriculture, primarily linked to start-up companies. Building on this technological momentum, the study examines agrotechnology companies using data from Crunchbase, Dealroom, and the European Startups databases. Its findings reveal that most agricultural startups valued at over $1 million are located in North America, while Europe lags behind in this area; however, there are several innovative initiatives addressing the region's agricultural challenges. To illustrate regional efforts, the research concludes with a Hungarian case study presenting the NAK Techlab 2019 program as an example of support for domestic agricultural startups.
