Abstract

1969 nyarán jelent meg a Tudománypolitikai irányelvek című dokumentum, s nyomában jelentősen megújult a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia munkája. Az elnök az egész hazai tudományos élet igazgatásának – teljesíthetetlen feladatát kapta, a főtitkár pedig – államigazgatási jogosítvánnyal – az akadémiai hálózat első számú gazdája lett. A tanulmány ezt a változást, hamari elakadását részletezi, majd – a terjedelmi korlátok között – az 1989–1990-es rendszerváltás utáni helyzet alapjellemzőit vázolja. Tehát küzdelmet a legitimációért, valamint az anyagi túlélésért. | In the summer of 1969, the document entitled Science Policy Guidelines was published, and in its wake, the operations of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences was significantly renewed. The president was given the – unfulfillable – task of overseeing the entirety of domestic scientific life, and the secretary general – with state administrative authority – became the number one master of the academic network. The study details this change and its early stagnation, and then – within the current scope – outlines the basic characteristics of the situation after the end of the Socialist era in 1989/1990. In other words, a struggle for legitimacy and financial survival.
