Abstract

A tanulmány a pszichológiai tudományok hazai fejlődésének 120 évét tekinti át, s ebben a 2025-ben megalapításának kétszázadik évfordulóját ünneplő Magyar Tudományos Akadémiához való viszonyát elemzi. Az egyes korszakok korabeli dokumentumokra támaszkodó bemutatása a tudományág felemelkedését, visszahullását, s a rendszerváltást követő magára találását veszi sorra. Alapvetően nem a tudományág kiemelkedő alakjairól szól, hanem annak küzdelmeiről, sikereiről, megvalósult vagy elmulasztott lehetőségeiről. Külön említésre elsősorban azok kerülnek, akik filozófusként, teológusként, majd pszichológusként az Akadémia tagjai lettek. A tanulmány a történelmi fordulópontokhoz rendeli a tudományág és az Akadémia közös történetét. Sorra veszi a tudományág fejlődését befolyásoló akadémiai tudományszerkezet változásait, a kutatások és kutatók sorsáról döntő tudományos bizottságok, osztályok szerepét, az Akadémián keresztül is érvényesülő politikai döntések hatását. = The study reviews 120 years of the development of psychological sciences in Hungary and analyzes its relationship to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2025. Based on several contemporary documents, each era of the rise, decline, and self-discovery of the discipline is attributed to the change of the country’s political system. It is not primarily about the outstanding figures of the discipline, but about the struggles, successes, and realized or missed opportunities of the discipline. Special mention is made of those who became members of the Academy as philosophers, theologians, and psychologists contributing to the discipline. The study assigns the common history of the discipline and the Academy to corresponding historical turning points. It takes stock of the changes in the academic scientific structure that influenced the discipline’s history, including the role of scientific sections and committees deciding on the fate of research and researchers, and the impact of political decisions that have also applied through the Academy.
