Abstract

Az autizmus spektrumzavarral élő gyermekek ellátása nagy kihívást jelent az egészségügyi ellátórendszernek, így különösen a fogászati szakmáknak is. A napirendtől eltérő fogászati időpont, a rendelő hangjai, illatai, és önmagában a szájban való manipuláció heves ellenkezést válhat ki az autizmussal élő gyermekekből, ami megnehezíti fogászati ellátásukat. Gyakran tapasztalható, hogy az ilyen spektrumzavarral élő gyermekek fogazati állapota nemkívánatos eltéréseket mutat, mivel sokszor már a fogmosás is nehézségekbe ütközik. Jelen közlemény különböző technikák bemutatásával kíván segítséget nyújtani a fogászati szakemberek számára az autizmussal élő gyermekek fogászati ellátásának megkönnyítéséhez. | Providing care for children with autism spectrum disorder poses a major challenge for the healthcare system, and this is particularly true for the dental profession. Dental appointments that deviate from their daily routine, the sounds and smells of the dental office, and the manipulation in the mouth itself can trigger intense resistance in children with autism, which complicates their dental care. It is often observed that the dental condition of children with this spectrum disorder exhibits undesirable abnormalities, as even brushing their teeth can pose significant challenges. This paper aims to assist dental professionals by presenting various techniques to facilitate dental care for children with autism.
