Abstract

Rocket immunoelectrophoresis was used and compared with local lesion assay to detect tobacco mosaic virus in infected peppers. Hypcrimmune mouse ascitic fluid was subjected to rocket immunoelcctrophoresis for quantificat ion of the content of tobacco mosaic virus in pepper plants. The rocket immunoelectrophoresis proved to be as sensitive as the locaJ lesion assay in the case of the pepper plants.
