Abstract
C:nzymatic hydrolysates of highly purified RNA from tobacco 1i10saic virus (TMV) were analyied for cytokinin activity by tobacco ;rnd soybean callus bioassays after extracting the hydrolysates with water-saturated n-butanol and separating the components by column or paper chromatography. The chromatographic properties of the active components suggested that they are the different forms of zeatin and N"-(.l 2-isopentenyl)-adenine.
