Abstract

Since the promotion of innovation and the oversight of higher education is controlled by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, it is not a coincidence that universities are playing an increasingly important role in R&D&I processes. The 799/2021. (XII.28.) Government Decree laid down the new foundations for the R&D&I park network, distinguishing between industrial parks, technology parks, and science and innovation parks. The study aims to introduce the differences between these types through the analysis of their definition and the examination of their requirements. The science and innovation parks are the most complex parks in this system, where serious infrastructural, educational and research requirements and indicators are set in the law to obtain and continuously maintain for an entity the title of science and innovation park.
