Abstract
Thelotrema meghalayense is described as a new species of lichen from the Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, India. The species is distinguished by its saxicolous habit, crustose thallus, perithecoid ascomata, hyaline, 3-septate, amyloid ascospores, and psoromic acid as a secondary metabolite. A revised diagnostic key of Indian Thelotrema species is provided for identification.
