Abstract

The open plan workplace is seen as a trendy and sensible concept that emphasizes human behaviour and relationships. However, there are problems with open workplaces in banks and other public buildings that must be resolved. Furthermore, a significant research gap exists, especially with regard to banks in the Koya district and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Thus, with an emphasis on Koya Bank particularly, this study aims to illuminate the impact of open workplaces on employee collaboration and well-being. Open plan workplace is identified as an independent variable, and wellbeing and collaboration are recognized as dependent variables. A random selection of within 67 employees received a survey consisting of 34 items. Regression and one-sample t-tests were used in SPSSv.26 to evaluate the data. Significant impact on collaboration and well-being has been realized in open plan workplaces. The study makes recommendations for the government and architects, particularly with regard to public buildings, on how to emphasize efficient open plan designs and raise architectural awareness in the process of creating and implementing these spaces.
