Abstract

A 2020-as évek elejére a globalizáció is azok közé az alapvető kérdések közé került, melyeknek korábban magától értetődőnek tekintett folyamatai vitatottá váltak. A világgazdaság integrációját évtizedeken át a fejlődés természetes velejárójának tekintették. A Covid–19-járvány nyomán kibontakozó válság és a politikai ellentétek kiéleződése azonban megkérdőjelezte a globalizáció korábbi trendjeinek folytathatóságát. A kutatók számottevő része ezért már a folyamatok visszafordulását, vagyis a deglo­ba­lizációt valószínűsíti. Ebben a cikkben korunk egyik központivá emelkedett üzleti jelenségének, az ellátási láncoknak a globalizációba ágyazásával mutatjuk be, hogy a valóságos folyamatokat nem deglobalizációként, hanem a globalizáció új szakaszaként célszerű értelmezni. | By the early 2020s, globalisation had become one of those fundamental issues whose processes previously taken-for-granted, had become contested. For decades, the integration of the world economy was regarded as a natural component of economic development. The crisis following the Covid–19 pandemic and the intensification of political conflicts, however, have called into question the continuation of previous trends in globalisation. A considerable number of researchers therefore anticipate a reversal of these processes, that is, deglobalisation. This article examines one of the central business phenomena of our time, supply chains, by placing them in the broader context of globalisation. It argues that the processes observed in reality should not be interpreted as deglobalisation, but rather as a new phase of globalisation. The article analyses the changing characteristics of global supply chains and their logistics, focusing in particular on the increasing importance of resilience, the growing complexity of coordination, the changing role of inventories, the geographical reorganisation of sourcing and investment, and the interaction between physical and digital globalisation. It also considers the implications of these changes for Hungary as a small open economy.
