Abstract
The use of low-density materials in shaped charges, specifically as a liner, is very novel in the world of blastingtechnology. However, this novelty also means that there may be details in the background that still need to be clarified, without which it will be difficult or even impossible to achieve further results. There is currently no suitable formula for dimensioning these components. In this paper, I compare existing dimensioning methods in order to lay the foundation for a future, wide-ranging study based on empirical results in this field.
