Abstract
The adaptive reuse of Ferenc Káldy’s 1939–1940 modernist filling station in Balatonfüred turns it into the Balaton Regional Chief Architect's Office while balancing authenticity, sustainability, and identity. A central oak-clad service core reorganizes circulation and functions, while restored facade proportions, slim portal windows, historic entries, curved canopy, discreet insulation, neon lettering, terrace openings, and Balaton-inspired green finishes connect preservation with contemporary use.
