Abstract
The restoration of Gyöngyös Borpalota reuses a layered historic complex that grew from an 18th-century inn and estate outbuilding into an early-20th-century winery. The project preserves key fabric elements while adapting the main building for offices, the vaulted outbuilding for aging cellars, and a new steel-glass-concrete rear extension for flexible use, reconnecting the site’s cellar networks with contemporary urban fabric.
