Abstract

A női reprodukció nagyon komplex folyamat, hiszen a terhességre való felkészülés és maga a terhesség is olyan élettani (például endokrin és immunológiai) változásokkal jár, amelyek befolyásolják valamennyi szervrendszert, sőt az anyai viselkedést is. A reproduktív rendszer és az immunrendszer között fennálló speciális és egyedi kapcsolat a terhességben teljesedik ki. Terhesség során az anyai immunrendszer krónikus alloantigén stimulációnak van kitéve, amelyre a siker érdekében toleráns választ kell adnia, miközben a környezeti xenoantigén támadásokat hatékonyan ki kell védenie. Ez egy olyan, kollaborációkon, kompromisszumokon és szigorú időzítésen alapuló komplexitás, amely az immunrendszert a maga legösszetettebb valójában érinti. Readiness for and maintenance of pregnancy involves physiological changes (e.g. endocrine and immunological) that affect all organ systems and maternal behavior. The relationship between the reproductive and immune systems is particularly evident during pregnancy. The maternal immune system is exposed to chronic alloantigen stimulation during this time. For a pregnancy to succeed, the immune system must respond by tolerating this stimulation while defending against environmental xenoantigens. This intricate, collaborative, and precise system reveals the complexities of the immune system. While many pieces of this marvelous puzzle have fallen into place, many questions remain.
