Abstract

A peritonealis dialízis egyik legsúlyosabb szövődménye aperitonealis hegesedés, amely a mesothelialis sejtek mesenchymalis átmenetével (MMT), a fibroblastok aktivációjával és az extracelluláris mátrix (ECM) felhalmozódásával jár. Vizsgálatunk célja annak feltárása volt, hogy a peritonealisdializátumból származó extracelluláris vesiculák (PDE-EV) befolyásolják-e ezeketa patológiás folyamatokat. Eredményeink azt mutatják, hogy a PDE-EV-k in vitroés in vivo gátolják az MMT-t, mérséklik a fibroblastok proliferációját és csökkentikaz ECM termelődését. Eredményeink alapján a PDE-EV-k szerepet játszhatnak ahashártya hegesedésének gátlásában, ami az EV-k endogén regeneratív szerepére utal. | One of the most serious complications of peritoneal dialysis is peritoneal fibrosis, which is associated with the mesothelial-mesenchymal transition (MMT), fibroblast activation, and the accumulation of the extracellular matrix (ECM). The aim of our study was to investigate whether extracellular vesicles (PDE EVs) derived from peritoneal dialysate influence these pathological processes. Our results show that PDE EVs inhibit MMT in vitro and in vivo, attenuate fibroblast proliferation, and reduce ECM production. Based on our findings, PDE EVs may play a role in inhibiting peritoneal scarring, suggesting an endogenous regenerative role for EVs.
