Abstract
The present contribution discusses the prospects for further constitutionalisation of the European Union (EU). After briefly reflecting on the development of the respective discourse (1) and offering several contextual and conceptual clarifications (2), the article sketches some constitutional peculiarities of the EU (3). This is complemented by a section highlighting some contextual peculiarities (4). On this basis, the contribution postulates certain desiderata for a potential reform (5), concluding with a brief reflection on the conditions for further constitutionalisation of the EU (6).
