Abstract
The Czech Republic joined the European Union in 2004, as part of the so-called Eastern enlargement. The accession process can be seen as the final stage, preceded by many years of hard work and preparation. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the accession process of the Czech Republic to the EU, primarily from a historical perspective, with a focus on legal, economic, administrative, and political issues.
