Abstract

Jelen tanulmány célja annak feltárása a bankok miért is tekinthetők a zöld átállás kulcsszereplőinek, továbbá egy átfogó képet kíván adni a hazai bankszektor zöld átálláshoz kapcsolódó jelenlegi gyakorlatáról, és rendszerezze azokat a megoldásokat, amelyekkel a hitelintézetek a fenntarthatóbb jövő megvalósítását támogatják. Ennek keretében bemutatja a legjellemzőbb banki eszközöket és intézkedéseket, valamint rámutat a működésben megjelenő főbb kihívásokra és fejlesztési irányokra, különös tekintettel a termékekre, a finanszírozási döntésekre és a klímakockázatok kezelésére. | The purpose of this study is to examine why banks may be regarded as key actors in the green transition. It further aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current practices of the domestic banking sector in relation to the green transition, and to systematise those solutions through which credit institutions support the achievement of a more sustainable future. To that end, it sets out the most prevalent banking instruments and measures, and identifies the principal operational challenges and potential areas for further development, with particular emphasis on products, financing decisions, and the identification, assessment and management of climate-related risks.
