Abstract

A Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg Vármegyei Büntetés-végrehajtási Intézet története több mint egy évszázados múltra tekint vissza, amely során az intézet folyamatosan alkalmazkodott a büntetés-végrehajtás hazai és nemzetközi változásaihoz. A kezdeti időszakban elsősorban a fogvatartás biztonsági és fegyelmi feladatai domináltak, később azonban egyre hangsúlyosabbá vált a reintegráció és a társadalmi visszailleszkedés támogatása. Az intézet a működése során jelentős infrastrukturális és szakmai fejlődésen ment keresztül, amely hozzájárult a korszerű, humanizált fogvatartási körülmények kialakításához. A szakmailag képzett személyi állomány elkötelezett a biztonság, a törvényesség és a fogvatartottak fejlesztésének egyensúlya mellett. Az intézet a büntetés-végrehajtási szervezet meghatározó szereplője, amely stabil működésével és folyamatos megújulásával járul hozzá a rendszer egészének hatékonyságához. | The history of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Remand Prison spans more than a century, during which time the institute has continually adapted to domestic and international changes in the prison system. In the early years, the focus was primarily on security and disciplinary aspects of incarceration; however, support for reintegration and social rehabilitation later became increasingly important. Over the course of its operation, the institute has undergone significant infrastructure and professional development, which has contributed to the creation of modern, humane conditions of incarceration. The professionally trained personnel are committed to maintaining a balance between security, the rule of law, and the rehabilitation of inmates. The institute is a key component in the prison system, contributing to the overall efficiency of the system through its stable operation and continuous renewal.
