Abstract

In my contribution my interest is focused on the description of the Church as a tower, on the development of the sense of the word τɛτρṱγωνgoς and of the number four in different religions and cultures beginning with Simonides (6th–5th century BC), Plato, Aristotle until the freemasonry and Modern Greek, where the word exists in the sense of ‘perfct’ until our days.
