Abstract
The excavation of the 19th Dynasty Theban Tomb 184 (Nefermenu) exposed the remains of a structure built of irregular stones in the upper section of the south slope of the El-Khokha hillock, which can be reconstructed as the pyramid-like superstructure of a New Kingdom mortuary monument. No epigraphic or other evidence relates the edifice with certainty to any of the rock-cut tombs in the vicinity. The chronological relations of the rather complex ensemble of the nearby built structures are analysed in order to date the monument. Besides TT 184, the New Kingdom tombs of the upper row of tombs on the hillock, TT 205, Kampp -42- and -43-, are involved as well as TT 241, below and the saff-tomb behind the pyramid.
