Abstract

People of Vas County created the maximum of their technical culture more than 110 years ago. They managed in doing this as masters of the contemporary theoretical and practical knowledge. The hydroelectric power plant in Ikervár could not have been established that time and that place, if there had not been teachers such as Kuncz and Edelmann, and students such as the Gothard brothers.Even nowadays, introducing new and highly developed technologies could be successful only, if there is an adequate receptivity and we can add more values to this. If we realize that true values can be established only this way, then we can exploit our human resources more effectively.
