Abstract
The paper presents a numerical algorithm for the solution of an inverse heatradiation problem, which estimates simultaneously the temperature and the heat-absorption coefficient profiles in the cross-sections of semitransparent turbulent free jet includes one dispersed radiating component. Boundary conditions are obtained from processed infrared images of the jet. The paper deals with the statistical investigations of the estimated parameters of the cross-section profiles in order to establish the simplified confidence interval estimations for the future applications. The presented inverse method could be helpful in predicting the environmental load caused by free jets released into the atmosphere, provided that the jet consists of one radiating component in the infrared-detector wave-band.
