Abstract
For electrical systems, to identify the weaknesses using the specific modeling tools represents the starting point for prognosis and reliability centered maintenance strategies performing. This paper deals with reliability analysis and life prognosis of the power cables using the two-parameter Weibull distribution and the mathematical model AMSA Crow. For simulations, the ALTA software package was applied. The results obtained are related to power cables lifetime evolution considering the ageing under multiple stresses: temperature, humidity, and vibrations. The life distribution and the reliability prognosis have been obtained.
