Abstract
This paper presents a algorithm to fit the major hysteresis loop and first magnetization curve. The algorithm uses the equations of the Jiles-Atherton (J-A) model to calculate the M(H) magnetization curve and aims at finding the values of the J-A model parameters. The parameters that initially have been chosen randomly are modified so that the mean square root deviation between the points of the experimental and calculated curve decreases gradually and, in the end, it should attain a minimum pre-established value. The result of minimizing the mean square root deviation is that the calculated curve represents the regression curve. This paper also presents the results obtained for the values of the J-A model parameters for cobalt ferrites obtained through sintering at different temperatures.
