Abstract
Author made regular insect collections between 1990 and 2011 especially on ornamental trees and shrubs, furthermore on herbs, in streets, parks, in city greenery, forests, botanical gardens and private gardens, in various localities of Hungary. Bactericera modesta (Foerster) is a new species for the fauna of Hungary.
