Abstract

Száz őskőkori szobrocska közül kilencvenhét nőket ábrázol. A női idolok 57,3%-án elhízás állapítható meg. A paleolitikus figurák elemzésével a szerző megkísérli rekonstruálni a készítési módokat, a valószínűsíthető testtömeget és megállapítani a szobrocskákon látható kóros eltéréseket. | In this paper I present 100 neolithic figurines (97 female and 3 male) made of ivory, mammuth bone, calc and other substances. The sculptures found on great territories of Eurasia, from Pirenees to Lake Baikal and the river Amur. More than half (57.3%) of the idols show various types of female obesity. However, they are named ironically “Venuses”. The figurines are described and speculation underlying the reason for these construction and uses are presented.
