Abstract
A monographic treatment was published about the genus Omiltemia Standl. including the genus Edithea Standl. and a new species Omiltemia scoti Kirkbr. modifying the original concepts and descriptions of the genus creating a polyphyletic complex. The authors discuss the broad generic concept of this treatment excluding the genus Edithea Standl. A new amplified description of the monotypic Omiltemia Standl. is presented and separation of Kohleria (Omiltemia) longipes Standl. into a new genus Pseudomiltemia Borhidi.
