Abstract
The paper is devoted to life-creation phenomena in Russian Decadence. Individual fate of Nina Petrovskaja, lover of Valerij Briusov and second-rate writer, illustrates some typical strategies of special behavior modeling where literary patterns of “Femme fatale”, “lady vamp” and other decadent heroines (Lenor, Salomea) are rather attractive. However, aesthetic models come into contradiction with ethical rules and those who desire to live according to Decadent literature ideals are condemned to suffering and slow dying.
