Abstract
Kandra Kabos (1843-1905) was a well-reputed historian of the Archdiocese of Eger (North Hungary). His works consisted of published archival sources in solid volumes and his findings contributed much to our knowledge on K. Eszterházy (1725-1761- 1799) bishop of Eger, the great maecenate and founder of the Library of Archdiocese. Some critical remarks and a brief survay of the filed is given in the review.
