Abstract
The chapter is aimed at presenting and analyzing the dynamics among civil society actors as relevant to Roma women’s rights in Hungary. The author concludes that, quite sensibly, the Roma women’s movement chooses to avoid confrontational approaches towards gender inequalities within Roma communities, and this may very well be interpreted as an attempt to reduce the risk of fragmentation within the Roma rights movement at the cost of not putting intersectional issues high on the agenda.
