Abstract

A kutatás célja, hogy könyvkötésre felhasznált kódextöredékek felkutatásával és feldolgozásával hozzájáruljon a nagyrészt elpusztult középkori magyarországi könyvkultúra rekonstruálásához. A kutatócsoport emellett teljes kódexeket és hazai kéziratgyűjteményeket is feldolgoz, mint a hazai és az európai írásbeliség fontos dokumentumait. Az 1974 óta folyó, többször az OTKA által is támogatott kutatások eredményeit a Fragmenta et codices sorozat hat eddig megjelent kötete mellett számos tanulmány teszi hozzáférhetővé. A 2003-2006 közötti periódusban megjelent a soproni gyűjteményekben őrzött 406 kódextöredék katalógusa. Ezek a töredékek javarészt olyan kéziratokból származnak, melyeket a középkori Sopronban használtak. Önálló tanulmány foglalkozik a soproni könyvkötők tevékenységével, akik a kódexeket könyvkötőanyagként felhasználták. Megjelent az Ómagyar Mária-siralmat tartalmazó Leuveni kódex magyar eredetű prédikációiról egy terjedeles monográfia, egy másik a középkori kódexekben felkutatott Szent László sermókról, s elkészült az OSzK Kézirattára 1945 utáni szerzeményezett kódexeinek katalógusa. | The aim of the research is to contribute - through detecting and describing codex fragments used for binding - to the reconstruction of the severely damaged medieval Hungarian stock of codices. Besides these, the research group is also describing and processing complete codices as well as manuscript-collections preserved in Hungary, as representative documents of Hungarian and European literacy. The project has been supported financially by OTKA for several periods since 1974, and its results were published in six volumes of catalogues int he series Fragmenta et codices and in a number of contributions. In the period 2003-2006 the printed catalogue of the 406 codex-fragments from Sopron collections has been issued. These are mostly fragments of manuscripts used in medieval Sopron. A separate study is dealing with the activity of Sopron bookbinders, making use of codices as binding material. A detailed monograph making up a volume has also been issued about the sermons of Hungarian relevance to be found - besides the Old Hungarian Lament of Mary - in the Leuven codex. Another monograph was published about the St. Ladislaus sermons that could be traced in medieval codices, further the volume containing the codices of the Manuscript Department of the National Széchényi Library acquisited after 1945 is also under issue.
