Abstract
An Arpad-age capital was unearthed from a pit connected to the excavations at late medieval Berzence castle. On the abacus of the Corinthian capital with acanthus leaves situated in two rows and four spiral volutes at the edge, secondarily a board game named alquerque was scratched.
